The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences in collaboration with Centre for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination (CPH&D) and Enabling Centre observed International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
