The first International Conference on Education was held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Honorary Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor attended as special guests. The purpose of the conference was to discuss the importance of education at the international level. The conference lasted for two days.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
