01 August 2025: Honourable Governor of Punjab and Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and presided over the inaugural ceremony of IUB’s centenary celebrations. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran thanked the Honourable Chancellor for his gracious presence and patronage of the faculty staff and students.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
