16 September 2025: In connection with the 100th anniversary celebrations of Islamia University of Bahawalpur, a special seminar was organised by the Seerat Chair to pay tribute to the first Sheikh-ul-Jamiah Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, Abbasia Campus.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
