On the 13th of May, The Department of Anthropology at Islamia University, Bahawalpur, and the Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) came together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at the Vice-Chancellor's secretariat, and the distribution of shields took place after the MOU signing ceremony.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
