On November 1, 2023, IUB Literary Society (Directorate of Student Affairs) organized a workshop on Fiction and Flash Fiction in which renowned fiction writer Nayyar Mustafa participated as the guest speaker while Dr. Adnan Bukhari, Addl. Director Student Affairs Islamia University attended as a special guest.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
