03 September 2025: A seminar was held at Ghulam Muhammad Ghotvi Hall, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in connection with Defence Day. On this occasion, Station Commander Bahawalpur Garrison Brigadier Ghazanfar Iqbal was the chief guest and Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chancellor, presided over the ceremony.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
