The Department of Social Work organized a commemorative event on World Polio Day on 24-10-2023. The event was chaired by Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, the Chairman of Social Work Department and was attended by faculty members from Social Work, Sociology and Anthropology departments. Naeem Asim, Head of Department of Public Health , IUB was Guest Speaker.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
