To preserve the heritage of South Punjab, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur signed an MOU with Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain. The MoU was held on 22 January 2024 at the Conference Room, Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. From Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Prof Dr Marco Mandela and Prof Dr Cristina Pujades attended the online session
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
