26 November 2025: A two-day international conference on the topic of compatibility between the global English language and local culture has begun under the auspices of the Department of English Linguistics the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Delegates from universities of Pakistan, Turkey and Oman are participating in the two-day conference through online channels.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
