The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) welcomed Prof. Dr. Ali Karakas of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Burdur, Republic of Türkiye, for an official visit on 29 November 2025. Prof. Karakas met with the Worthy Vice‑Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran, to discuss collaborative academic opportunities and to strengthen ties between the two institutions.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
