On August 1, 2025, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran joined the celebration of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur's 50th anniversary as a special guest. The Vice Chancellor also planted a sapling on the occasion of Radio Pakistan's 50th anniversary.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
