Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal, Department of Psychology, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur presented the findings of his indigenous study related to the efficacy of mindfulness based cognitive therapy for the management of issues of women health at 24th WMSM Conference held at Dubai. The findings are noteworthy and can be utilized by women health professionals for the management of women health issues besides pharmacotherapy. It is to be noted that Ahmad Bilal won the Travel Grant for participation in the event and was the only Psychologist from Pakistan to participate in the event.

پروفیسر ڈاکٹر احمد بلال ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف سائیکالوجی اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاول پور نے دبئی میں منعقدہ 24 ویں ڈبلیو ایم ایس ایم کانفرنس میں خواتین کی صحت کے مسائل کے انتظام کے لیے ذہن سازی پر مبنی علمی تھراپی کی افادیت سے متعلق اپنے مقامی مطالعے کے نتائج پیش کیے تھے۔ یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ خواتین کے صحت کے پیشہ ور افراد فارماکو تھراپی کے علاوہ خواتین کے صحت کے مسائل کو بھی اجاگر کرسکتے ہیں۔ واضح رہے کہ احمد بلال نے ایونٹ میں شرکت کے لیے ٹریول گرانٹ جیتا اور وہ پاکستان کے واحد ماہر نفسیات تھے جنہوں نے ایونٹ میں شرکت کی۔
