Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur has said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur will be included among 100 top ranked universities globally in coming five years. Our faculty and students are talented enough to be provided right direction and congenial environment to achieve academic excellence. The Vice Chancellor expressed these views during a ceremony at Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur to inaugurate Independence Day Celebrations. On this occasion, he opened Azadi and Pakistan Studios to broadcast programs relevant to Independence Day. He also inaugurated tree plantation campaign under Plant for Pakistan Program by planting a sapling in the lawn of Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Station. He said that all out efforts are being made to maximize the utilization of infrastructure at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Admission campaign for fall 2019 has been kicked started to enroll maximum number of students as University has witness decline in the number of students during the recent year. New academic programs will be started fulfilling the needs of the markets and students will be groomed to face challenges of global competition. He said that the historic Islamia University of Bahawalpur will celebrate Independence Day with full zeal and fervor by organizing seminars, flag hoisting ceremony and illumination of campus buildings.
