The language scholars and curious minds are invited to the highly anticipated webinar, "Language and Ecosystems," hosted by the Department of English Linguistics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The event is set to take place on Friday, November 17th 2023, at 2:00 P.M. Video Conference Room, Khawaja Farid Auditorium, BJ Campus, IUB.
This webinar is aimed to explore the nexus between language and environment emphasizing the role of language in shaping our perceptions and interactions with the world. It further investigates how discourses impact our ecological consciousness.
This event promises to be a captivating journey into the world of languages, featuring esteemed speakers, and engaging discussions among learners, under the patronage of Worthy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar (Patron-in-chief) and Prof Dr. Jawed Hassaan Chandio (Patron), Dean, Faculty of Arts IUB. Dr. Riaz Hussain, Chairperson Department of English Linguistics and Dr. Zahoor Hussain (Associate Professor Department of Linguistics IUB, focal person) are the chief organizers of the event.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
