The Department of Civil Engineering is recognized for providing essential and cutting edge engineering education and research, which is based on the requirements and needs of engineering industry to improve the quality of life for all society.
The department is being started on to the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) system to meet the criteria of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as per the Washington Accord. The Department of Civil Engineering provides adequate facilities including; classrooms equipped with multimedia tools and laboratories (Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulic Engineering Lab, Structure Lab, Concrete and Cement Testing Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Engineering Mechanics Lab, Engineering Surveying Lab, Highway Engineering Lab, Computer Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Workshop Practice Lab) equipped with the latest equipment and tools. The department has already started the commercial material testing service. The department has well qualified and dedicated faculty members and skilled lab staff.
The department has a well-organized society of students which is actively involved in conducting several curriculum & extra curriculum activities including workshops, seminars, training, sports events, debates, and competitions, etc.
