United Nations observe 16 days of activism against gender based violence very year from 25 November to 10 December. In this regard, Women Development Centre the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a seminar on violence against women in collaboration with Pakistan Rural Workers Welfare Organization PRWASO.

The transportation and fuel management section of the Green Campus Project successfully organized a second cycling event at main Campus IUB. The event aimed at propagating immense environmental and health benefits of cycling and to persuade students and employees of the IUB to maximize the use of the bicycle.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur hosted the Pakistan Leadership Summit organized by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Students Society. Abdullah Hamid Gul, Chairman, Tehreek-e-Nojuwanan-e-Pakistan, specially participated in the event titled "Together for Pakistan".
