A four-day high-level consultative workshop began at Islamia University Bahawalpur on the direction of the Federal Ministry of Education and Vocational Training to formulate recommendations regarding Education Policy 2021. The Federal Ministry has selected Islamia University of Bahawalpur for a joint meeting of South Punjab universities, colleges, schools, madrassas and academics.
Provincial Minister for Energy Dr. Akhtar Malik has laid the foundation stone of a 2.5 MW solar energy project at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Talking to media persons on the occasion, the Provincial Minister said that the present government was working fast to increase efficiency and productivity in the power sector.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
