The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has launched a training program for working journalists of Bahawalpur. During this training program having three day sessions in each week , as many as 150 journalists will be given hands on technical training as well as awareness on media ethics.
Ms. Shahla Ahsan, Chairperson, Parks and Horticulture Authority called on Worthy Vice Chancellor today at Abbasia Campus. Worthy Vice Chancellor praised efforts of Parks and Horticulture Authority in beautification of Bahawalpur.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has received 80,000 applications for undergraduate and master programs in admissions of fall semester 2020. This season the University carried out a comprehensive admissions campaign on directions of Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob.
Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies (CIDS), the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized seed broadcast activity in Cholistan desert during recent rains under Clean and Green Pakistan Campaign. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor said that the main objective of this activity was to restore the indigenous flora of Cholistan desert especially the plant species.
The Independence Day of Pakistan was observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The day began with Quran khawani and prayers for martyrs who sacrificed their lives for motherland and for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The Islamia University of Bahawalpur was established in the year 1975 by upgrading historical institute of the Jamia Abbasia.
